RZ-iDA001 is an allogeneic induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived dopaminergic progenitor cell therapy under development by Guangzhou Regenverse Therapeutics. It is designed to treat both idiopathic and genetic forms of Parkinson's disease by restoring dopaminergic neurons and their associated functions within the nigrostriatal pathway and striatal dopaminergic circuitry (specifically D1 and D2 receptor circuits). The therapy aims to address the underlying neuronal loss characteristic of Parkinson's disease. As of late 2024, the program is in the preclinical stage, undergoing GLP pre-clinical validation.
