RZL-012 + Medrol

RZL-012 + Medrol is a therapeutic combination being evaluated for the reduction of submental fat. RZL-012 (tapencarium) is a novel, injectable small molecule cytolytic agent developed by Raziel Therapeutics. It functions by disrupting the cell membranes of adipocytes, leading to localized fat cell death and volume reduction. Medrol (methylprednisolone) is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid administered orally as an adjunct to manage the inflammatory adverse events, such as swelling and pain, typically induced by RZL-012 injections. This combination was specifically studied in a Phase 2 adaptive-design trial to evaluate the efficacy of anti-inflammatory medications in improving the tolerability of RZL-012 treatment.
