S-1 + carboplatin + pirfenidone

This is a combination therapy consisting of three distinct medications used together for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The combination leverages: 1. Carboplatin - An organoplatinum antineoplastic alkylating agent 2. S-1 - An oral fluoropyrimidine anticancer drug 3. Pirfenidone - An antifibrotic agent with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties This combination has been studied for its potential to safely treat NSCLC patients with IPF, as these patients are at high risk of acute exacerbation of IPF when undergoing chemotherapy.
