Overview

S 95010 is a small molecule cardiac myosin activator developed by the Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier for the treatment of heart failure, specifically heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). As a sarcomere activator, it directly binds to cardiac myosin and increases the transition rate of myosin from a weakly bound state to a strongly bound, force-producing state with actin. This mechanism enhances myocardial contractility and stroke volume by increasing the duration of systolic ejection without elevating intracellular calcium levels or significantly increasing myocardial oxygen consumption. S 95010 has been evaluated in Phase 1 healthy volunteer studies and Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and hemodynamic effects in patients with impaired systolic function.
