Drug intelligence / Profile preview
S01D is a novel, first-in-class small molecule therapeutic being developed for the treatment of drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. Developed by Zhejiang Wolwo Bio-Pharmaceutical (Wolwo Pharma) through its subsidiary Zhejiang Wolwo Yifang Pharmaceutical, S01D is a Class 1 chemical new drug featuring a unique tetracyclic chemical structure (6,5,7,6-tetracyclic derivative) and a novel mechanism of action. Non-clinical studies have demonstrated that S01D possesses potent anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis activity. In October 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China approved the clinical trial application (IND) for S01D tablets, allowing the initiation of Phase I, II, and III clinical trials in adult patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis.
