Overview

**S05179** is a Servier-developed, oral fixed-dose quadruple single-pill combination for uncontrolled essential hypertension. It contains perindopril, indapamide, amlodipine, and bisoprolol at doses of 10 mg/2.5 mg/5 mg/5 mg or 10 mg/2.5 mg/10 mg/5 mg. The combination provides complementary antihypertensive mechanisms: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition by perindopril, natriuresis and diuresis by indapamide, L-type calcium-channel blockade by amlodipine, and selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blockade by bisoprolol. In the Phase 3 QUADRO trial, S05179 was evaluated against free perindopril, indapamide, and amlodipine triple therapy in patients whose blood pressure remained uncontrolled on triple therapy.
