Drug intelligence / Profile preview
S086 is an angiotensin II receptor–neprilysin dual inhibitor (ARNi) developed for the treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and hypertension. It is a small molecule drug, independently developed by Salubris, and represents the second ARNi-type small molecule globally to enter clinical trials. S086 exerts protective effects on target organs such as the heart and kidney by simultaneously inhibiting neprilysin (which degrades natriuretic peptides) and blocking angiotensin II receptors, thereby reducing neurohormonal activation implicated in heart failure progression. The drug is currently in phase 3 clinical trials for HFrEF[5][2].
