S179D prolactin

S179D prolactin (S179D PRL) is a research-stage recombinant protein and a pseudophosphorylated molecular mimic of naturally phosphorylated human prolactin. It acts as a selective prolactin receptor modulator (SPRM) that targets the prolactin receptor (PRLR). Unlike unmodified prolactin, S179D prolactin triggers a distinct intracellular signaling cascade that leads to cell differentiation, cell-cycle arrest, or apoptosis depending on the cellular context.
