Overview

S95029 + Sym021 is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for the treatment of advanced solid tumor malignancies. S95029 is a monoclonal antibody targeting NKG2A, an inhibitory receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and some T cells. By blocking NKG2A, S95029 aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Sym021 is a monoclonal antibody that targets PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to further promote T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity. The combination seeks to synergistically boost the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells by simultaneously inhibiting two distinct immunosuppressive pathways. The primary developer and sponsor of clinical studies for this combination is Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier[3][5][6]. Clinical trials have focused on patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, metastatic gastric cancer, and other advanced solid tumors[3][5].
