SA-001

SA-001 is a preclinical small molecule activator of the Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) pathway, developed by StingInn. As a lead compound identified through specialized screening assays, SA-001 is designed to stimulate the innate immune system to produce an anti-tumor or anti-viral response. By activating STING in tumor cells or tumor-infiltrating antigen-presenting cells (APCs), it promotes the activation of anti-tumor T cells. The drug is currently being evaluated for applications in cancer immunotherapy and the treatment of infectious diseases. StingInn was founded by Glen N. Barber, the scientist who discovered the STING pathway, to develop such small-molecule agonists for therapeutic use.
