Overview

The **SA-IL-2 MB49 cells vaccine** is an experimental cancer vaccine consisting of MB49 mouse bladder cancer cells whose surface has been modified to express murine interleukin-2 (IL-2) via a streptavidin protein-anchor system. This vaccine is designed to induce a tumor-specific immune response by presenting tumor-associated antigens in conjunction with a potent immunostimulatory cytokine (IL-2) directly on the tumor cell surface. Preclinical studies in mice have demonstrated that this immunotherapy elicits activation of dendritic cells, increases CD4+ and CD8+ T cell populations, and prolongs survival in models of metastatic bladder cancer. Its primary research use is as an immunotherapeutic tool in preclinical murine models to investigate antitumor responses and mechanisms against bladder tumors[1][2][3].
