The **SA-IL-2 MCSCs vaccine** is an experimental cancer vaccine comprising mouse bladder cancer stem cells (MCSCs) that have been fixed, biotinylated, and then surface-anchored with a streptavidin–interleukin-2 (SA-IL-2) fusion protein. The vaccine is designed to induce an antitumor immune response by presenting cancer stem cell antigens together with membrane-bound IL-2, stimulating both dendritic and T-cell mediated immunity to eliminate MCSCs and prevent tumor regrowth. In preclinical studies, the vaccine has shown an ability to reduce tumor size and prolong survival in mouse models of metastatic bladder cancer, increasing dendritic cell activation and both CD8+ and CD4+ T-cell populations compared to controls[1].
