Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SA030 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Suzhou Siran Biotechnology for the treatment of obesity. It specifically targets activin receptor-like kinase 7 (ALK7), a type I receptor for the TGF-beta superfamily that plays a role in regulating energy homeostasis and adipose tissue function. The drug utilizes GalNAc (N-acetylgalactosamine) conjugation technology to facilitate targeted delivery. SA030 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy overweight or obese adults.
