SAB-139 is a fully human polyclonal antibody therapeutic candidate developed by SAB Biotherapeutics for the treatment of Ebola virus infection. It is produced using the company's proprietary DiversitAb platform, which utilizes transchromosomic (Tc) cattle genetically engineered to produce high-titer human immunoglobulin G (IgG) in response to vaccination with Ebola virus antigens. This polyclonal approach allows the drug to target multiple epitopes on the Ebola virus glycoprotein (GP), providing a broad neutralizing effect and potentially mitigating the risk of viral mutational escape compared to monoclonal antibody treatments. Preclinical data published in *The Journal of Infectious Diseases* demonstrated that SAB-139 provided 100% protection in rhesus macaques when administered post-exposure to a lethal dose of Zaire ebolavirus.
