Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAB01 is a highly selective, long-acting, novel bispecific antibody designed for best-in-class mast cell depletion with enhanced safety. It conditionally inhibits c-Kit (stem cell growth factor receptor) only in the presence of an undisclosed anchor target that is restricted to mast cells, thereby minimizing off-target toxicity associated with traditional c-Kit inhibitors. This precision approach aims to deplete mast cells without affecting other cell types where c-Kit is expressed. The drug is being developed for a broad range of mast cell-driven disorders including chronic inducible urticaria, asthma, and food hypersensitivity. Preclinical studies have demonstrated conditional activity against mast cells both in vitro and in vivo[1][2][3][7][9].
