Overview

Sabestomig is a bispecific monoclonal antibody under development by AstraZeneca. It targets both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and T cell immunoglobulin mucin-3 (TIM-3), two immune checkpoint proteins involved in the regulation of immune responses. By simultaneously inhibiting PD-1 and TIM-3, sabestomig aims to reinvigorate T-cell activity against tumors or inflammatory processes that are resistant to single checkpoint blockade. The drug is being investigated for use in relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma, Crohn’s disease (regional enteritis), and various solid tumors including non-small cell lung cancer and gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. Sabestomig is administered intravenously[1][4][5][7].
