Sabin-Based Inactivated Poliomyelitis Vaccine (sIPV), also known by its code name TAK-195, is a trivalent, inactivated poliomyelitis vaccine developed by Takeda. It is derived from Sabin poliovirus strains (types 1, 2, and 3) and is designed to prevent poliomyelitis. The vaccine is currently undergoing evaluation in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy infants, toddlers, and adults. The trial aims to determine the optimal antigen dosage for the vaccine.
