Sabin-strain inactivated polio vaccine (sIPV) is a vaccine developed to prevent poliomyelitis. It utilizes inactivated Sabin poliovirus strains and is manufactured using Batavia Biosciences' proprietary HIP-Vax process. Batavia Biosciences received grant funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for its development and contracted Valneva for the manufacturing of clinical trial lots. The vaccine is intended for use in developing countries.
