Sabirnetug + rHuPH20 is a combination drug product comprising sabirnetug (also known as ACU193), a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting amyloid-β oligomers, and rHuPH20 (recombinant human hyaluronidase PH20), an enzyme enabling large-volume subcutaneous drug administration. Sabirnetug selectively binds to soluble amyloid-β oligomers believed to drive synaptic dysfunction and neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease, while rHuPH20 facilitates enhanced absorption and dispersion of the monoclonal antibody when delivered subcutaneously. This combination is developed primarily to provide subcutaneous administration as an alternative to intravenous infusion for patients with Alzheimer's disease, potentially improving convenience, accessibility, and adherence to therapy[3][5][1].
