Overview

Sacubitril/alisartan/amlodipine is a triple-combination small molecule therapy being developed by Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of primary hypertension. It combines three established antihypertensive mechanisms: neprilysin inhibition (via sacubitril), angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1) antagonism (via alisartan), and calcium channel blockade (via amlodipine). Sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, increases levels of natriuretic peptides, while alisartan (also known as allisartan) blocks the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that induces peripheral vasodilation. This triple combination aims to provide superior blood pressure control compared to dual or monotherapies. The sacubitril/alisartan component (S086) is already approved in China as XinchaoTuo®.
