Notably, it suppresses the p-STAT3/C/EBPβ signaling pathway, inhibiting *cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)* expression[3]; inhibits *SERCA* (sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase)[2]; acts as a *Glucocorticoid receptor agonist*[2]; and demonstrates inhibitor activity for both *COX-2* and *inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS)*[2]. It additionally inhibits *MRP1* (multidrug resistance-associated protein 1), modulates PI3K/Akt/mTOR and NF-κB signaling, and has demonstrated ability to induce apoptosis, autophagy, and differentiation in cancer cells[1][2][7]. Experimental evidence primarily supports its use in disease models such as cancer, chronic liver inflammation, liver fibrosis, myocardial injury, pulmonary and renal disorders, neurological diseases, diabetes, and osteoarthritis[1][6][7][9].
