**Saikosaponin d** is a triterpene saponin extracted from *Radix Bupleuri* (the root of Bupleurum falcatum), a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine[1][2][6][8]. It is classified as a small molecule and possesses a steroidal structure[9]. Saikosaponin d exhibits diverse pharmacological activities, including **antioxidant**, **anti-inflammatory**, **anticancer**, **immunomodulatory**, **anti-fibrotic**, **anti-angiogenic**, and **chemopreventive** effects[1][2][6][8][9]. Its *mechanisms of action* involve the regulation and inhibition of cellular signaling pathways related to inflammation, apoptosis, autophagy, and cell proliferation. Notably, it suppresses the p-STAT3/C/EBPβ signaling pathway, inhibiting *cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)* expression[3]; inhibits *SERCA* (sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase)[2]; acts as a *Glucocorticoid receptor agonist*[2]; and demonstrates inhibitor activity for both *COX-2* and *inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS)*[2].
