Overview

Sail Malaria eRNA Antibody is an investigational RNA-based therapeutic being developed by Sail Biomedicines in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The program utilizes Sail's proprietary "Endless RNA" (eRNA) technology—a circular, non-coding RNA platform designed for high stability and prolonged protein expression compared to traditional linear mRNA. This specific candidate is engineered to encode a potent monoclonal antibody targeting the malaria parasite (*Plasmodium falciparum*). Intended for systemic delivery via intravenous (IV) administration, the eRNA instructs the patient's own cells to produce and secrete the neutralizing antibody. This approach aims to provide durable passive immunization and long-term protection against malaria, potentially overcoming the half-life and manufacturing limitations associated with traditional protein-based monoclonal antibody injections.
