SaL-30 is a highly active chloroform derivative extracted from the plant *Sophora alopecuroides L.* It is being investigated for its potential to counteract multidrug resistance (MDR) in breast cancer. The extract contains an active compound group (SACG) consisting of 13 distinct flavonoids and alkaloids. SaL-30 demonstrates significant cytotoxicity against MCF-7/ADR (adriamycin-resistant) breast cancer cells, with an IC50 value of approximately 8.94 µg/mL. Its mechanism of action involves the synergistic modulation of the PI3K-AKT, FoxO, and MAPK signaling pathways, specifically targeting proteins such as AKT1, TNF, and CDK2. Furthermore, SaL-30 has shown a strong synergistic anti-tumor effect when co-administered with doxorubicin (Adriamycin), suggesting its utility as an adjuvant therapy to overcome chemotherapy resistance.
