Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAL012 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting glypican-3 (GPC3), developed by Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals. GPC3 is a cell-surface oncofetal antigen that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), lung cancer, and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, while remaining largely absent in normal adult tissues. SAL012 consists of a humanized monoclonal antibody specific for GPC3 conjugated to a cytotoxic payload. Upon binding to GPC3 on the tumor cell surface, the ADC is internalized, leading to the intracellular release of the payload and subsequent tumor cell death. It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
