Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAL0137 is an orally bioavailable small molecule drug candidate developed by Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of dyslipidemia, specifically targeting elevated levels of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]. Elevated Lp(a) is a genetically determined independent risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and calcific aortic valve stenosis. SAL0137 is formulated as a tablet and is designed to lower circulating Lp(a) levels, thereby potentially reducing cardiovascular risk. In October 2025, Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals received acceptance for its clinical trial application (IND) from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), marking the drug's entry into Phase 1 clinical development.
