Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAL0147 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of Complement Factor B (CFB) developed by Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of IgA Nephropathy (IgAN). IgAN is a chronic kidney disease characterized by the deposition of IgA1 immune complexes in the glomerular mesangium, which triggers the alternative complement pathway, leading to inflammation and progressive renal failure. SAL0147 selectively targets Factor B, a key protease in the alternative pathway amplification loop, to inhibit the formation of C3 convertase (C3bBb). By suppressing this pathway, SAL0147 aims to reduce complement-driven tissue damage and preserve kidney function. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
