Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Salactin Paint is a topical dermatological solution developed by NuLife Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of hyperkeratotic skin conditions, including common warts, plantar warts, mosaic warts, corns, and calluses. It is a combination product containing salicylic acid (16.7%) and lactic acid (16.7%) formulated in a flexible collodion base. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic agent by breaking down the hardened keratin layers of the skin, while lactic acid serves to soften the skin and enhance the penetration of the salicylic acid. Upon application, the solution dries to form a flexible film over the affected area, allowing for the gradual removal of the tissue without scarring. It is suitable for use in children, adults, and elderly patients.
