Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SALI-10 is a next-generation oral care probiotic developed from the *Streptococcus salivarius* (SALI-10) strain. This probiotic is designed to support oral and respiratory health by maintaining a healthy oral microbiome. The unique feature of this strain is its production of Salivaricin 10, the world’s first phosphorylated lantibiotic (a type of bacteriocin), which will be evaluated in clinical trials for its ability to promote beneficial microbial balance and support immune function in the mouth and upper respiratory tract. The product has been formulated as lozenges for slow dissolution at the site of action in the mouth. Clinical trials are set to begin soon, with commercialization targeted for early 2026[6][8].
