Saline + epinephrine

Saline + epinephrine is a combination medication consisting of epinephrine (adrenaline) diluted in saline solution. This combination is used in various medical procedures and treatments. When injected submucosally prior to procedures like colonoscopic polypectomy, it helps prevent bleeding by causing local vasoconstriction[7]. The combination is also used in nasal surgery (as part of Moffett's solution with cocaine)[6] and can be administered to treat hypotension associated with septic shock[1][9]. Epinephrine, the active component, is a naturally occurring catecholamine that acts as a potent stimulant of both alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors[4]. When combined with saline, it provides localized effects including vasoconstriction, reduced bleeding, and prolonged action of local anesthetics[6].
