Salipro CXCR7 is a preclinical immuno-oncology program developed by Salipro Biotech using its proprietary Salipro® platform. The technology involves the stabilization of the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 7 (CXCR7), also known as atypical chemokine receptor 3 (ACKR3), within lipid-protein nanoparticles that mimic the native cell membrane environment. CXCR7 is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that acts as a scavenger for the chemokines CXCL11 and CXCL12, playing a significant role in tumor cell proliferation, survival, and the modulation of the tumor microenvironment. By presenting the receptor in its native conformation, the Salipro platform enables the discovery and development of therapeutic agents—such as monoclonal antibodies or small molecules—designed to modulate CXCR7 activity to enhance anti-tumor immune responses and inhibit metastasis.
