Salipro GPNMB

Salipro Biotech-GPNMB-Oncology is a preclinical-stage therapeutic program targeting Glycoprotein Non-Metastatic Melanoma Protein B (GPNMB) for the treatment of various cancers. The program utilizes Salipro Biotech's proprietary Salipro® technology, which enables the stabilization of challenging membrane proteins, such as GPNMB, in their native and functional conformation within lipid-based nanoparticles. This platform facilitates the discovery and development of therapeutics—typically monoclonal antibodies—that can precisely bind to the target as it appears on the surface of cancer cells. GPNMB is a transmembrane protein frequently overexpressed in aggressive malignancies, including melanoma and triple-negative breast cancer, where it is associated with tumor progression and metastasis.
