Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Salipro GPR75 program is a preclinical-stage therapeutic development effort by Salipro Biotech targeting the G protein-coupled receptor 75 (GPR75) for the treatment of metabolic diseases, specifically obesity. GPR75 has been identified through human genetic studies as a high-impact target where loss-of-function variants are associated with significantly lower body mass index (BMI) and protection against obesity. Salipro Biotech utilizes its proprietary Salipro® technology to stabilize the GPR75 protein in a native-like lipid environment, enabling the discovery and development of therapeutic agents, such as monoclonal antibodies or small molecules, that can modulate this challenging membrane protein target.
