Salonimar

Salonimar is a fixed-dose combination oral bronchodilator developed and manufactured by Emcee Pharmaceuticals. It contains 4 mg of salbutamol and 200 mg of theophylline. Salbutamol is a sympathomimetic agent that selectively stimulates beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, leading to the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle. Theophylline is a methylxanthine derivative that provides bronchodilation through multiple mechanisms, including the inhibition of phosphodiesterase enzymes (which increases intracellular cAMP) and the antagonism of adenosine receptors. This combination is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of obstructive airway diseases, including asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. As a generic formulation, it is marketed for its ability to improve airflow and alleviate respiratory distress in patients with chronic lung diseases.
