**Salvia miltiorrhiza depside salts** are a standardized, multicomponent botanical drug preparation derived from the hydrophilic fraction of *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (danshen). The preparation contains magnesium lithospermate B and related phenolic depsides, including rosmarinic acid and lithospermic acid. It has been developed and marketed in China for coronary heart disease and chronic angina, including use as an intravenous injection. In the DOLPHIN Phase 4 study, DanshenDuofensuanyan injection was evaluated in patients with stable angina pectoris for effects on lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 and clinical angina-related outcomes.
