Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Danfen + sodium chloride (Salvianolic Acid Sodium Chloride Injection) is a pharmaceutical preparation combining salvianolic acids, the primary water-soluble bioactive components of *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), with a saline vehicle. It is widely utilized in China for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The salvianolic acids, particularly Salvianolic Acid B, exert potent pharmacological effects including the inhibition of platelet aggregation, enhancement of coronary blood flow, and protection of the vascular endothelium. The drug works by modulating nitric oxide production and scavenging reactive oxygen species, thereby reducing oxidative stress and improving microcirculation in patients with coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, and myocardial infarction.
