Salvysat

Salvysat is an herbal medicinal product developed by Johannes Bürger YS Lab, containing a dry extract of sage leaves (*Salvia officinalis*). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and for use in oral hygiene, such as the relief of minor inflammations of the mouth and throat mucosa. The therapeutic effects are attributed to the complex mixture of constituents in sage, including tannins which provide astringent properties, and essential oils (such as thujone and cineole) and phenolic acids (such as rosmarinic acid) which exhibit antimicrobial and antiperspirant activities. Salvysat is available in oral film-coated tablet and liquid formulations, the latter of which can be used for both internal administration and local application as a rinse or gargle.
