Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAM-03 is a preclinical-stage engineered bacterial therapy developed by CNcure for the treatment of cancer. Part of the company's Smart Adjuvant-secreting Microbiome (SAM) platform, SAM-03 consists of attenuated bacteria engineered to secrete specific immune adjuvants directly within the tumor microenvironment. The therapy is designed to activate Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and Toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5), thereby stimulating both innate and adaptive immune responses to overcome the immunosuppressive nature of tumors. This localized delivery approach aims to maximize therapeutic efficacy while reducing the risk of systemic inflammatory side effects associated with systemic adjuvant administration.
