Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SAM-04 is a preclinical-stage multi-payload cancer vaccine developed by CNcure using its proprietary SAM (Stimulator of Antigen-presenting cells and Memory T cells) platform. The therapeutic consists of engineered bacteria designed to deliver multiple immunostimulatory payloads directly to the tumor microenvironment. This approach is intended to activate antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and elicit robust CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses against cancer cells. By leveraging the natural tumor-homing abilities of certain bacteria, SAM-04 aims to overcome the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment and generate long-lasting anti-tumor immunity.
