Samprost is a peptide bioregulator consisting of a complex of water-soluble peptides extracted from the bovine prostate gland. Developed by the Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, it is designed to treat various prostate diseases, including chronic prostatitis and complications following prostate surgery. The drug exerts tissue-specific regulatory effects, improving microcirculation in the prostate, reducing inflammation and edema, and normalizing the secretory function of epithelial cells. It was originally developed for military medical use in the USSR and is currently approved for clinical use in Russia and CIS countries.
