Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sanalact Pro Laves is an over-the-counter dietary supplement developed and marketed by Laves-Arzneimittel to support the digestion of milk and dairy products. It is formulated as a fixed-dose combination of two digestive enzymes: lactase (4,500 FCC units, derived from Aspergillus oryzae) and protease (50,000 HUT, derived from Bacillus subtilis). Lactase hydrolyzes lactose into glucose and galactose, while protease facilitates the breakdown of milk proteins such as casein and whey protein. This dual-action formulation is designed to assist individuals with lactose intolerance or sensitivity to milk proteins, with enzymatic activity beginning in the stomach.
