**Sanaria PfSPZ-CVac** is a second-generation, chemo-attenuated whole sporozoite malaria vaccine developed by Sanaria Inc. against *Plasmodium falciparum* (Pf), the deadliest human malaria parasite. It consists of live, non-replicating Pf sporozoites (PfSPZ) co-administered with antimalarial drugs such as chloroquine (CQ) or pyrimethamine (PYR) to attenuate parasites by killing them during brief liver-stage multiplication, inducing potent T cell and antibody responses for sterile protection. More immunogenic than radiation-attenuated PfSPZ Vaccine at lower doses, it has demonstrated up to 100% efficacy against homologous and heterologous CHMI strains in Phase 1/2 trials and high protection against natural transmission in field studies in Africa and Indonesia, targeting children, adults, and travelers in endemic areas.[1][2][3][7]
