Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sandoglobulin NF Liquid (also known as Redimune NF Liquid) is a high-concentration, 12% (120 g/L) liquid formulation of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) developed by CSL Behring (formerly ZLB Behring). It is composed of human IgG antibodies purified from large pools of human plasma, providing a diverse repertoire of antigen-binding specificities. This "New Formulation" (NF) is a ready-to-use solution stabilized with L-proline, L-isoleucine, and nicotinamide, notably excluding sucrose to minimize the risk of renal complications such as osmotic nephrosis. It was primarily indicated for the treatment of primary and secondary immune deficiencies and immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Although approved by Health Canada in 2006, the product was discontinued from the market in 2010.
