Overview
Sangbaipi decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily derived from the root bark of *Morus alba* (Mulberry). It is traditionally used in Chinese medicine to clear heat from the lungs, relieve cough, and reduce edema. In clinical research conducted by Longhua Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is being evaluated for the treatment of bronchiectasis, specifically in patients with secondary colonization of multidrug-resistant *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* (MDR-PA). The decoction is often used in combination with other TCM formulations like Baozheng decoction to address specific TCM syndromes associated with chronic respiratory inflammation and bacterial colonization.
