Sanguisorba officinalis ethanol extract is a plant-derived research compound obtained from the roots or aerial parts of *Sanguisorba officinalis* L., commonly known as great burnet. This extract contains a complex mixture of bioactive secondary metabolites, including triterpene glycosides, phenolic acids (such as gallic and chlorogenic acids), tannins, flavonoids, and saponins. In preclinical studies, it has demonstrated multi-target biological activities, including anti-inflammatory effects via suppression of NF-κB and AP-1 signaling, antibacterial activity against MRSA, and antioxidant properties. Research in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) models suggests it inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis by modulating the EGFR, PI3K/AKT, and MAPK pathways.
