Overview

Sanhanhuayin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation developed by Henan University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of 'external cold and internal fluid' (Sanhanhuayin). The formulation is used as an adjunctive therapy alongside conventional medicine to improve clinical outcomes, such as the COPD Assessment Test (CAT) scores, and to reduce treatment failure and hospitalization rates. It is manufactured as a complex multi-component herbal granule by Jiangyin Tian Jiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
