Overview
Sanhuang Zhenzhu ointment (also known as Sanhuang Zhenzhu Gao) is a topical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) ointment developed and manufactured by Henan Lingrui Biological Pharmaceutical. It is a multi-component herbal and mineral preparation containing prepared sulphur, prepared realgar, prepared gamboge, pearl, and artificial musk. The ointment is approved in China for the treatment of medium and small area second-degree burns, scalds, and residual sores. It has also been clinically evaluated for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, where it has demonstrated safety and efficacy in improving local wound microenvironment factors. Its therapeutic actions include resolving toxins, dispersing swelling, removing necrotic tissue, promoting granulation, and relieving pain.
