Overview
Sanjin Jiechangkang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) capsule developed by Guilin Sanjin Pharmaceutical for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. It is specifically indicated for patients with mild active ulcerative colitis presenting with the TCM syndromes of spleen and kidney yang deficiency and damp-heat retention. The drug has been evaluated in a Phase II clinical trial (CTR20131108) in China to assess its efficacy and safety in improving clinical symptoms and mucosal healing. As a botanical product, its therapeutic effect is likely derived from the synergistic action of multiple herbal components targeting inflammatory pathways in the gastrointestinal tract.
