Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SanJoint is an oral joint health and anti-inflammatory nutraceutical supplement developed by Sanrey Therapeutics. It is formulated as a combination of Boswellia serrata extract, chondroitin sulfate sodium, curcumin, glucosamine sulfate potassium chloride, hyaluronic acid, and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM). These ingredients work synergistically to support joint comfort, reduce stiffness, and promote cartilage repair in degenerative joint conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Specifically, Boswellia serrata and curcumin act as anti-inflammatory agents by inhibiting arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase (ALOX5) and prostaglandin G/H synthase 2 (PTGS2/COX-2), thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes and prostaglandins. Glucosamine and chondroitin serve as essential building blocks for glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans in articular cartilage, while hyaluronic acid binds to CD44 receptors to improve joint lubrication and synovial fluid viscosity. MSM provides organic sulfur, which is crucial for collagen synthesis and connective tissue maintenance.
