Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SanoOptic is a sterile, single-layer amniotic membrane allograft (HCT/P allograft) developed by BioXtek for ophthalmic applications. Designed as a 10mm eye patch, it serves as a protective wound covering and extracellular matrix scaffold to support native tissue healing on the ocular surface. The allograft is derived from prescreened mothers with healthy, non-emergent deliveries, minimally manipulated to preserve the native structure of the tissue, and terminally sterilized. It utilizes BioXtek's proprietary BioPür process to ensure a cell-free, stable extracellular matrix that adheres easily to the ocular surface, making it particularly suitable for treating dry eye syndrome and other ocular surface conditions.
