Overview
Sanqi Granules (Chinese: 三芪颗粒) is a Class 1 innovative Chinese medicine developed by Guangxi Zhongheng Innovative Pharmaceutical Research (a subsidiary of Zhongheng Group) in collaboration with Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is optimized from the hospital's long-standing in-hospital preparation, Sanqi Oral Liquid (三芪口服液). The formulation primarily consists of Huangqi (Astragalus) and Sanqi (Panax notoginseng), which work synergistically to tonify qi, promote blood circulation, and resolve blood stasis. Sanqi Granules is being developed for the treatment of chronic kidney diseases, specifically primary chronic glomerulonephritis (including IgA nephropathy and primary membranous nephropathy) with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.
